The Zero SR/F looks cool and defiant. You can feel the strong influence of past Zero models on its appearance. You will also see the evolution of the design of this line. Visually, it starts with a shorter front fender with vertical mudguards that protect the inverted fork feathers from dirt. There are four large diodes in one headlight for low and high beams and bright “brackets” of diode running lights on the sides. Turn signals on the outriggers on the sides of the small windshield cover the upper traverse area when viewed from the front.
Zero SR/F is a safety system for two-wheeled motorized vehicles. It contains four independent active safety systems that work in unison to prevent or minimize the severity of a collision. The system is equipped with a five-inch color LCD display that provides instant information on the status of the active safety systems and allows you to customize the display content to suit your needs. The system also connects to the Internet via the cellular network, so it stays connected to the app at all times. A low steering wheel gives the Zero SR/F a slight slope over the raised tank, which has a distinctive street-inspired silhouette.
Zero SR/F ties together and controls all components of the motorcycle. It provides safety with phone notifications and is street-legal. It also has a unique look thanks to its distinctive styling. The standard seat height is 79 cm. Over- and under-height seats are also available upon request. The Zero SR/F has a charging port and can be equipped with an optional charger, such as the Charge Tank, which increases charging speed, or the Power Tank, which increases the capacity of the installed batteries. The standard seat height is 79 cm, but the seat height can be increased to 81 cm as an option. The passenger footrests are attached to the subframe with long levers. A pair of rear handles and an elevated passenger seat complete the comfort package for the No. 2. Lighting on the rear of the bike is in the form of a diode light, and turn signals are on the outrigger. The rear wheel is equipped with two suspensions at once. One covers the rear suspension from the mud, and the other, on a long outrigger, protect those behind the bike from splashing. The rear subframe is sealed, so dirt that leaks between the suspensions is easily washed away. The front of the bike has a turn signal indicator and a diode light.
The Zero SR/F’s welded frame gives it strength, and the swingarm axle and engine are attached to it concentrically. This design makes the drive belt tension constant, regardless of asymmetrical swingarm movement during suspension travel. Light-alloy 17-inch wheels are shod in Pirelli Diablo Rosso III 120/70 tires in the front and 180/55 in the rear. The tires are labeled ZR, which means they can easily handle the electric bike’s top speed, which is 200 km/h.
Both suspensions have a full set of adjustments. The suspension strokes are 12 cm at the front and 14 cm at the rear. The suspensions consist of a Showa BP-SFF inverted fork with 43mm rods and a 40mm external spring mono shock absorber, also made by Showa. Both suspensions have a full set of adjustments. Suspension strokes are 12 cm at the front and 14 cm at the rear. The Zero SR/F braking system consists of two 320-millimeter discs at the front with J-Juan four-piston calipers mounted on them and a single-piston caliper on a 240-millimeter disc at the rear. In addition, the engine is equipped with regenerative braking, which returns some of the energy to the battery. The Bosch Advanced Motorcycle Stability Control system is used in both the Standard and Premium versions of the Zero SR/F electric motorcycle. It provides both models with high-quality ABS.
The new engine has improved thermal efficiency thanks to radial cooling fins, and the main lithium-ion battery pack is encased in an aluminum radiator, which also improves thermal stability. This is important because excess heat is harmful to both the engine and the electric car’s batteries. The motor is controlled by a 900-amp three-phase controller. The SR/F was the first motorcycle with an electric starter and direct drive. It doesn’t need a heavy gearbox, and it doesn’t have one. All 190 Nm of torque comes in the first milliseconds of throttle travel, and a maximum of 110 horsepower is available at 5,000 rpm.
The standard battery has a capacity of 14.4 kWh, and options include a 3-kilowatt standard charger and a 6-kilowatt optional Rapid Charge.
