The SK3 electric scooter, sourced from Austria but designed and manufactured in China, enters the European market in 2022 under the banner of elegant design and practical equipment and technical features for daily commuting around town.

Horwin is a mobility company based in Austria, but develops and manufactures all its models in China. Its catalog features some of the most elegant electric motorcycles and scooters on the market, which attract not only looks but also pockets because they boast good prices. The Horwin CR6 electric motorcycle and EK3 electric scooter, already available on the European market, will be joined by a new component in 2022: the Horwin SK3.

The new SK3 has been designed as a utilitarian-type vehicle, aiming for a high dose of practicality and putting function above form. Adopting a simple, sporty design that also attracts attention, the SK3 promises to be a practical everyday companion. Among its basic equipment are components based on the latest technology, such as a full LED lighting system, a digital LCD dashboard or integrated cruise control.

The total weight of the scooter is only 115 kilograms, demonstrating the company’s commitment to creating a vehicle that makes it easy to handle in everyday city commuting, while building on the experience of previous models.

The SK3 is equipped with a centrally located electric motor that is capable of delivering 3.1 kW of rated power and 6.2 kW of peak power. The top speed it is capable of is 90 km/h, which is enough for most city roads and ring roads of many European cities where it will seek its market. It is powered by a 72V, 36 Ah battery, i.e. 2.6 kWh capacity, with which it can offer up to 80 kilometers of range, provided that the speed does not exceed 45 km/h. Recharging from a standard outlet takes about five hours, using the standard built-in 8A charger.

For those who need more autonomy or want to squeeze more out of this scooter’s capabilities on a daily basis, a second battery can be added that sits in the trunk under the seat. This is identical to the main battery, with which you can double the autonomy in exchange for less storage space, losing the ability to store the helmet.

The Horwin SK3 will arrive on the European market in early 2022, and its main advantage will be its price. To get your hands on it, you’ll have to shell out €3,990, making it one of the most affordable electric scooters on the market. The company has already announced that it will release another model a little later, more basic than this one. The SK1 will cost 3,690 euros, making it the most affordable electric scooter in the lineup.
