Hyundai unveiled a restyled version of the 2022 Kona Electric crossover for the U.S. market, which received exterior and interior design updates.

The most striking and expressive change has touched the front of the electric car, in which the former false grille panel with shallow recesses has disappeared, instead of which now a smooth, minimalist surface. The geometry of the air intake pattern of the front bumper has changed, the Hyundai logo has been moved higher on the hood, there is a distinctive cover of the charging port of the electric car.

The Hyundai Kona Electric 2022 got a new wheel design that optimizes airflow and a redesigned rear bumper. The electric car’s front and rear LED optics have also changed.

Not as much has changed inside the model as outside, including new 10.25-inch dashboard and multimedia system displays and wireless charging at the bottom of the center console. However, the larger displays have made the entire interior of the electric crossover noticeably more cheerful.

The electric car has added safety and offers rear-end collision avoidance, intelligent cruise control, and a new Highway Drive Assist feature that can help keep the vehicle in the center of the lane at a given distance from the lead vehicle and even make adjustments to speed limits on highways.

Otherwise, the Kona Electric for the U.S. market retains the same specs: a 150 kW (201 hp) powertrain and a 64 kW⋅h lithium-ion battery pack.
