Opel/Vauxhall Combo-e Life electric van

Opel (Vauxhall) introduced the Combo-e Life, an all-electric variant of the award-winning Combo Life van that gives families and fleets a practical, zero-emission choice when choosing their next vehicle.

With a range of up to 280 km within the WLTP cycle on a single charge, the new Combo-e Life is available in two lengths: “M” (4.4 m) and “XL” (4.75 m). The “M” van variant is available in five- and seven-seat configurations, and the “XL” exclusively with seven seats.

The Combo-e Life compact electric passenger van, like the Peugeot e-Rifter, is equipped with a 50 kW⋅h lithium-ion battery pack and a 100 kW (136 hp) electric motor capable of up to 260 N⋅m of torque. The Combo-e Life can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.2 seconds.

The 50 kW⋅h battery consists of 216 cells and 18 modules and is placed under the floor between the front and rear axles, making no compromises in luggage space or interior space compared to the gasoline and diesel versions of the Combo Life. Battery placement also ensures that the new Combo-e Life is stable on highways and in corners.

Drivers have access to a sophisticated dual-mode regenerative braking system in which “B” mode increases regenerative braking to maximize energy conservation.

All Opel/Vauxhall Combo-e Life variants come standard with a 7.4 kW single-phase on-board charger, with an optional 11 kW three-phase charger also available. The new electric van also supports fast charging of up to 100 kW, with an 80% charge taking just 30 minutes.

For increased versatility, the new Combo-e Life is also designed to tow up to 750 kg and is equipped with trailer stabilization technology.

The second row for the “M” and “XL” variants is available with either three individually folding seats or a 60/40 split (a 35/30/35 split is also available as an option).

The five-seat “M” van variant has up to 597 liters of luggage space, with up to 2,126 liters when the rear row is folded down. The “XL” variant has a volume of 850 liters and up to 2,693 liters with the rear rows folded down. In addition, the front passenger seat can be fully folded, increasing the length of the cargo space, so that even large items such as surfboards can be moved inside the Combo-e Life.

All Combo-e Life models come standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity and are available with the Vauxhall Multimedia Navi Pro system with a large 8.0-inch touchscreen with real-time traffic updates.

To keep drivers, passengers and other road users safe, the new Combo-e Life is available with a range of class-leading driver assistance and safety features, including: frontal collision warning with pedestrian protection, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, driver drowsiness warning, traffic sign recognition and hill descent control. Drivers can also order the Surround Rear Vision camera, which gives a 180-degree view of the rear of the vehicle when reversing.
