Designed for the promising Indian market, the gritty naked produced by the Japanese manufacturer promises a top speed of 160 km / h and a range of 200 km. It could also arrive in Europe, with a rather high list price: about 21,000 euros.
Terra Motors is a Japanese company specialized in electric vehicles. One of the first products was the e-scooter “smart” A4000i, now tries to enter the motorcycle market with an ambitious project: the Kiwami. A naked bike that the Tokyo-based company has developed with the Indian two-wheeler market in mind, one of the largest in the world and one of the most promising markets for models with a “shock” together with China, where, however, internal competition is strong. In order to persuade motorcyclists in one of the countries with the highest rates of current development, Terra Motors is counting on the significant performance, especially for India, conferred by the 10 kW electric motor. A little less than 14 hp that would allow the Kiwami to accelerate with low times and, say the designers, to reach 160 km / h, a figure that seems rather optimistic … The autonomy declared instead is 200 km. Record-breaking battery life: 3,000 full charge cycles that, if confirmed, would ensure a “life” of over ten years with intensive use. The model, at the moment, is still a prototype, and the start of production is also linked to the approval of any economic benefits in favor of zero emission motorcycles by the Indian government. It is not excluded the import in Europe where, in this case, the price list would be around 21,000 euros. Definitely expensive…
